Interlibrary Loan Policy for Friendswood Public Library

The Friendswood Public Library loans books for approximately 14 days. There is no charge for photocopies up to 30 pages. We do not request or lend CD's, DVD's, or VHS tapes through Interlibrary loan. Audiobooks, cd-roms, and some educational DVD's or VHS tapes can be obtained through Intersystem loan. We do not lend items from our New Book Collection.

 

 

 

 

 Connecting people to the resources they want and need

Along with providing standard reference services, the Reference & Adult Services department also provides quality adult programming including cultural and educational opportunities, computer and job skills training, and a wide range of instructional programming. 

Patrons have access to thirteen computer workstations equipped with Internet, MS Office programs, research and recreational databases, printing, copying, and scanning capabilities.  Reference staff is at hand to provide assistance with all computer and electronic services. Reference also provides an inter-library loan service for materials unavailable at the Friendswood Public Library. 

 

Adult Programs Schedule The Friendswood Public Library hosts a wide variety of adult programs and events. These include genealogy workshops, literary and music events, history programs, health programs, movie nights, and a wide range of computer and instructional programs.

These sites are designed to answer simple questions quickly and easily. Everything from the meaning of a word to someone's ZIP code.
Electronic Library
The Friendswood Library is pleased to offer home and library access to several online databases to its patrons.  These databases provide a variety of information, including magazine indexes, health and medical information, research assistance, etc.
Government Resources
Also arranged alphabetically, these sites are maintained by various municipal, state and federal agencies, such as the IRS and the TEC.
