Storytimes
January 3rd through May 4th

Toddlertime (for babies from birth to 3 years): at 10:10 a.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Preschool Storytime (for ages 3-6): at 10:45 a.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. 

Family Storytime meets at 11:00 a.m. All ages: January 28, February 25, March 24, April 21

Rattle and Rhyme (for babies 0 to 18 months) meets from 10:10 to 11:10am on the following Mondays: January 9 and 23, February 6 and 27, March 5 and 19, April 2 and 23, May 7 and 21.

Children's Schedule

All programs start on time. It is advisable to arrive 5-10 minutes early. Once the program has begun, entry will not be allowed unless otherwise noted. Craft schedules are available in the Children's Department.

 

1/21

Come Celebrate the Year of the Dragon with Miss Pat. We will hear a story, make a craft, play a game, watch a dvd and have refreshments. Ages 3 & up

10:30am - 11:30am
1/26 Craft: Make a dragon puppet. Ages 5 & up. 4:30pm - 5pm
1/30 Early Literacy Workshop: Every Child Ready to Read. Early Talkers: Birth to Two-Year-Olds. Free for parents, teachers & caregivers. Each person attending will receive a certificate for 2 clock hours for professional development. See or call Children's desk to register. 281-482-7135. 6:30pm 

Approx. 2 hours.

2/9 Craft: “Decorate a Valentine Cupcake” . Ages 5 & up 4:30 - 5pm
2/18 The Wind in the Willows by Kids Back Porch Productions. All Ages 1:30pm - 2:30pm
2/27 Early Literacy Workshop: Every Child Ready to Read. Talkers: Two and Three-Year-Olds. Free for parents, teachers & caregivers. Each person attending will receive a certificate for 2 clock hours for professional development. See or call Children's desk to register. 281-482-7135. 6:30pm
3/15 Craft: Wind Sock. Ages 5 & up. 4:30pm - 5:00pm

4/5 Spring Craft. Ages 5 -12 yrs.  4:30pm
4/9 or 23 See the FISD School Bus: Ride to Westwood, Bales, Cline, & Windsong. Ages 4 & up. Please note: Due to seatbelt laws, children under age 4 will not be able to ride the bus. Approx. 35 minutes. 1:30pm
4/28 Animal Control Program. For all ages. 

10:30am - 11:00am

 

Young Adult Programs (11 - 18 yrs.)

Every Tuesday we play video games in the Activity Room from 4:30-5:30pm! Here are a few of the games we’ll be playing:

· Boom Blox Bash Party

· Just Dance

 Tuesdays 5:30-6:30:  Doctor Who Roleplaying Game 

Join us for a new game of “Doctor Who: Adventures in Time and Space”!

Choose a character from the Doctor Who Universe and work together to save a ship of Judoon!

Teen Advisory Group (TAG) Meetings

Join the Group that supports and represents the Library in the community.  Make friends and earn community service hours while having fun.  Join the Teen Advisory Group!

'Tween (8-10 year old) Programs: Wednesdays 4:30 - 5:00pm
1/18 Cardboard bird feeder. Feed hungry birds with supplies you have around the house!
2/15 Paper Cup Lighthouses. Light the way back to your house with these tiny lighthouses!
3/14 March Lion and Lamb. “The saying goes, March comes in like a lion but goes out like a lamb,” so let’s make some!
4/11 Mix and Match Robot. This robot can look anyway you want!
5/16 Bookworm Caterpillar. Make a quiet friend to keep you company while you prepare for Summer Reading!
